Sidney Oslin Smith, Jr. (1923-1974) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Smith was nominated by President Lyndon Johnson on August 24, 1965, to a seat vacated by William Sloan; he was confirmed by the Senate on September 10, 1965, and received commission that same day. He served as chief judge from 1968 until his retirement on June 1, 1974. Smith was succeeded in this position by James Hill.
