Judge rules Beloit man didn't have constitutional right to carry weapon

Madison, Wisconsin: Judge Paul Lundsten upheld a conviction against Beloit resident Brian K. Little, ruling that Little did not have the absolute right to carry a weapon. In 2010, Mr. Little was convicted of a misdemeanor for carrying a concealed weapon and was sentenced by Circuit Judge James Daley who handed down a 30 day jail sentence and $7,984 in costs and penalties.[1]
The defense argued for the conviction to be overturned. Little's attorney, Lane Fitzgerald said, "The window has closed on this statute ... there could be pending prosecutions elsewhere."
Fitzgerald is unsure whether the his client will further appeal Lundsten's ruling.
