Jonathan Realz is an actor, comedian, and political activist running for US Congress in Alabama's 2nd District.

Professional, practical, and sensible. These are all adjectives which could be used to describe Jonathan Realz, if he ever aspired to the level of banality of the common politician. Instead, Mr. Realz has chosen to distinguish himself as a free thinker unconstrained by the shackles of the two party system.

Working tirelessly towards the pursuit of liberty, Mr. Realz served as Vice-Chair of the Libertarian Party of Alabama and uses connections in the entertainment industry to reach average people with a mainstream, unifying, and accessible message of Liberty and Justice for All.
  • We do not need to be ruled over. We need representation that reflects our values as Americans.
  • Cannabis Prohibition has been a massive failure and is hurting our already dying economy.
  • All individuals have the right to be who they want to be, live how they want to live, love who they want to love, as long as they don't forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.
Qualified Immunity protects government officials (including police officers) when they abuse the authority they are given. All of our public servants who are given authority over others should always be held to the highest of standards.

Without unnecessary enforcement of laws that criminalize a victim-less act, many tragic incidents involving police officers can be avoided. For this reason, we must end the process of arresting and prosecuting those whose actions create no victim. Among these actions are drug possession, sex work, gambling and working without documentation or government licensing.

The drug war, qualified immunity, no-knock warrants, over policing, and other misguided policies perpetuate a violent system where human behavior is criminalized and human life is not valued.
Willingness to listen to concerns, learn, and grow. It is important to value opinions from people even through disagreement.
I remember Princess Diana's wreck, I remember 9/11, there's always historical events. My historical event is something that only affected my home town. When I was 18 the Klan came to my small town and set up crosses on the courthouse lawn. I don't think a single historical event impacted my world view as much as that day did.
My first job was working as a camp counselor for the Boy Scouts of America. I worked there off and on throughout the year for almost 4 years, but I enjoyed camping so I hardly count that.

My second job (first real job) was working at WGMK "Oldies Radio" as a board operator. I worked there for 4 years and eventually moved my way up to an on air position.
Have you seen these people we have in office? My dog could do a better job than most.
One word. Inflation.

We have gone so deep into debt as a country and this has completely devalued the US Dollar. It is imperative that we remedy this and it will take a multi-prong approach, including cutting back on enforcement of victimless crimes, legalizing competitive currency, and massive reduction in foreign interventionism.
I support term limits. I see no reason why any office holder should be in the same office for more than 2 terms. Career politicians have lost touch with reality and the average voter.
I don't agree with any one person on all issues. That's the nature of humanity.

I do believe there are some lessons that could come from the playbooks of Justin Amash, Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Thomas Massie.
The IRS sent back my tax return saying I owed $800.

I said, "If you'll remember, I fastened my return with a paper clip. Which, according to your own very latest government Pentagon spending figures, will more than make up the difference." - Emo Philips
Absolutely. Working with people who you disagree with is the only way we will see progress. Where it becomes dangerous is when you rest on principles or ignore consequences of your actions as a lawmaker.

Campaign website

Realz's campaign website stated the following:

PRINCIPLES

FREE YOURSELF

We challenge the cult of the omnipotent state and defend the rights of the individual.

All individuals have the right to be who they want to be, live how they want to live, love who they want to love, as long as they don't forceably interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.

Governments throughout history have regularly operated on the opposite principle.

The ruling class has no right to tell you how to live or who to love, and has no right to control your labor or the products thereof.

Liars, theives, and cronies have used the levers of power to make it nearly impossible for people like you and I to succeed without reliance on them.

They redraw their districts and restrict your choices on election day all in the name of power.

They do not serve us.

Together we take our power back.

YOUR RIGHTS

YOU OWN YOURSELF

You sell your time, body, and labor, and you own the products thereof. What you do with your body is your choice, as long as it doesn’t violate the body autonomy of others.

No one has a right to tell you what you can or can not choose to do for an honest living.

Your home is an extension of yourself.

Paying a ruling class for the right to live is inexcusable and an immoral societal system that only favors the upper class.

No one has the right to harm or steal from you.

No one has the right to harm, pollute, damage, or steal from your home.

No one has the right to secretly poison your air, water, food, land, or body.

In order for society to prosper, perpetual debt slavery must be abolished. State sanctioned, corporatist violations of body autonomy must not stand.

You have rights that other individuals, groups, and governments may not violate under any circumstance.

All people are born with certain inherent, irrevocable, human rights.

We condemn bigotry as irrational and repugnant.

Governments can not deny human rights based upon sex, wealth, ethnicity, creed, age, national origin, personal habits, political preference, or sexual orientation.

Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the government’s treatment of you in marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration, employment or military service.

The Government does not have the authority to define, promote, license, or restrict personal relationships, regardless of the number of participants.

Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships. The right to self ownership must be restored.

We seek to build a world where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.

Together we seek nothing more nor less than a world set free in our lifetime.

Whenever any form of government becomes destructive of your rights, it is your right to alter or to abolish it.

For these reasons, in order to secure our human rights we must [resist] all rulers.

YOUR MONEY

YOU ARE NOT GOVERNMENT PROPERTY

YOU ARE NOT A SERVANT TO THE RULING CLASS.
YOU ARE MORE THAN A DEBT SLAVE.
YOUR LABOR IS YOURS.
YOUR BODY IS YOURS.
YOUR MONEY IS YOURS.

Have you ever wondered what happened to your money during the pandemic? Every year, more and more of your money has been funneled directly to large corporations and special interests. During the 2020 pandemic, we watched the mega-rich get richer while everyone else was told not to go to work.

We were forced to shut down our small businesses while the mega-corporations were allowed to keep their doors open. Our government gave billions and billions of dollars to Big Tech, Big Oil, and the Wall Street Giants without the knowledge and approval of the people.

Our government has created a predatory national banking monopoly that transfers money from the people into the hands of the mega-rich. They remove the purchasing power from our money while the average person struggles to make ends meet.

No matter how much we work or how hard we work, we can never get ahead in this predatory system. The government will simply create more money out of thin air to loan it to the people at astronomical interest rates. If you fail to pay it back, they will take everything from you. They will take your house, your car, your land and force you to watch as they sell it for a 100% profit!

We didn’t “lose” our homes, the government’s banking monopoly took our homes from us.

To add insult to injury, what they won’t tell you is that the money they gave you never existed in the first place!

It’s time to stand up and say that enough is enough. We will not let ourselves be exploited by this predatory banking system anymore.

GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY

END QUALIFIED IMMUNITY

RESTORE JUSTICE. DEFEND RIGHTS.

GUN RIGHTS

GUN CONTROL IS PEOPLE CONTROL

The people they want to control most are the working class, the marginalized, and people of color.

They have been using gun restrictions as a tool of oppression for centuries.

I support no regulation on arming oneself. The right to bear arms is a defense mechanism against anyone who would infringe upon your rights, including the government.[2]
