Elections
2011
Gardiner was a candidate for District 4 of the New Jersey General Assembly. Gardiner and Shelly Lovett ran unopposed in the June 7 primary. Paul Moriarty and Gabriela Mosquera ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. Tony Celeste also ran as an Independent in the general election.[1]
Following the primary, Gardiner withdrew from the race, citing personal reasons. Patricia Fratticcioli will replace her.[2]
Possible Dem pickup
With redistricting moving Republican incumbent Domenick DiCicco to the 3rd District, NJ Spotlight has identified the 4th as a potential place for the GOP to lose a seat in the Assembly.[3]
