U.S. Term Limits (or USTL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that lobbies for term limits for elected officials at each level of government in the United States. It is associated with the U.S. Term Limits Foundation, a 501(c)(4). Among other activities, USTL supports ballot initiatives as a way for citizens to impose term limits on elected officials. The organization was established in 1992. Since the group began, term limits have been placed on 15 state legislatures, and eight of the ten largest American cities have adopted term limits for their city councils.
Philip Blumel is the organization's president.[1]. New York libertarian Howard Rich is on the board of directors.

Ballot access litigation
In 1999, U.S. Term Limits was a co-plaintiff in Initiative & Referendum Institute v. Jaeger, an unsuccessful lawsuit challenging North Dakota's residency requirement.
