2010
2008
- California Waiting Period and Parental Notification Initiative. Certified for November ballot.
- Colorado Definition of Person Initiative
- South Dakota Abortion Ban Initiative. Certified for November ballot. Referendum
Did not make 2008 ballot:
- California Ban on Killing a Viable Unborn Baby Prior to Birth Initiative
- Missouri Prevention of Coerced and Unsafe Abortion Act. Petition drive abandoned.
- Montana Right to Life Initiative. Petition drive deadline in early July.
- Oregon Ballot Measure 108.
- Washington Initiative 989.
2006
- California Proposition 85. Failed with 46%. Would have required parental notification before terminating pregnancy of a minor.
- Citizens for Michigan Initiative. Did not appear on ballot, never filed signatures.
- Oregon Ballot Measure 43. Failed with 45%. Would have required waiting period/notification for abortions performed on teenagers between 15-17.
- South Dakota Abortion Ban Referendum, failed with 44%, thus repudiating the legislature's abortion ban bill, HB 1215.
2005
- California Proposition 73. Parental notification.
1999
- Maine Question 1. Prohibit partial-birth abortion.
1998
- Washington Initiative 694 (1998) Ban on late-term abortion.
1994
- Wyoming Abortion Restriction Initiative, prohibiting most abortions.
1992
- Arizona Initiative to Ban Abortion. Failed with 31.5%.
- Oklahoma State Question 642. Stricken from ballot by the Oklahoma Supreme Court prior to a vote.
1991
1988
- Arkansas Ban on Public Funding of Abortion. Passed with 52%.
1984
- Colorado Ban on Public Funding of Abortion. Passed with 50.4%. First such initiative to succeed.
1982
- Alaska Initiative to Limit State Funding of Abortions. Failed with 40.8%.
