Willie Mount (b. August 25, 1949) is a Democratic member of the Louisiana Senate, representing District 27.
Education
Mount earned her BS in Business Administration from McNeese State University in 1974.
Professional experience
Mount was Pharmaceutical Representative for Lederle Laboratories from 1976 to 1981. She then worked as Licensed Real Estate Agent as an Associate to Mary Kay Hopkins from 1981 to 1988. From 1989 to 1992 she was Co-owner of The Paper Place.
Political experience
Mount was Mayor of the City of Lake Charles from 1993 to 2000. She was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives, District 7, in 2004 but wasn't elected. She joined the Louisiana State Senate in 2000. She has served in that position since, representing the 27th district.
