Vernie McGaha (b. September 13, 1947) has been a Republican member of the Kentucky Senate since 1996. He represents the 15th district.
Education
McGaha earned his BS from Campbellsville College in 1969. He went on to receive his MA from Western Kentucky University in 1973.
Professional experience
McGaha was Band Director for Russell County High School from 1969 to 1986. He then worked as Principal for Union Chapel Elementary from 1986 to 1988. He worked as Principal of Russell County Middle School from then until 1996.
Political experience
McGaha joined the Kentucky Senate in 1996. He has served in that position since, representing the 15th district.
