Vermillion Mandatory Recycling Ordinance (2008)

The Mandatory Recycling Ordinance was a city-wide ballot measure in Vermillion South Dakota to require curb side recycling at all family dwellings. The ordinance added $3.50 to utility bills for Vermillion residents.

"An ordinance to make curbside recycling mandatory for all single family housing and multi-family housing of up to five units." [1]
