The Utah Property Tax Exemption Amendment, also known as "Constitutional Amendment 1", appeared on the November 2006 statewide ballot in Utah as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. It was the only statewide ballot measure that year in Utah.[1]

  • Yes: 338,726 (62.5%) Approved
  • No: 203,648 (37.5%)

Ballot wording

The language on the ballot said:

Shall the Utah Constituion be amended to authorize the Legislature to pass a law creating a property tax exemption for tangible personal property that generates an inconsequential amount of revenue?
