Testimony
On June 25th, 2009, Wynne provided compelling testimony at The Arizona House Judiciary Committee Hearing against SB 1091. The proposed new bill is based on the case Nader v. Brewer. The new bill offers a strict interpretation of the case. It only allows out-of-state circulators for independent presidential candidate nominational petitions. The residency requirement would still be in place for all other petitions at the state level. Wynne provided arguement that, based on previous court cases, this law would fall in federal court. The taxpayers would then be stuck with the legal bills.
SB 1091 has been signed into law.[1] Wynne's arguement could be put to the test if the law gets challenged.
Award
On April 18th, 2009, Wynne was awarded The Ballotpedia Wikiteer Award at the 2009 Sammies award ceremony.[2]
