Tom Jensen (b. December 29, 1948) has been a Republican member of the Kentucky Senate since 2004. He represents the 21st district.
Education
Jensen attended Sue Bennett Junior College. He went on to earn his Bachelors in Secondary Education from Cumberland College. He then received his JD from Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 1978.
Professional experience
Jensen is former Legal Counsel for the Republican Caucus of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He has also been an attorney since 1978.
Political experience
Jensen is a former delegate at the Republican National Convention. He was Chairman of the Laurel County Republican Party from 1982 to 1984. He served in the Kentucky State House from 1988 to 1996. From 1992 to 1994 he was House Minority Floor Leader. In 1996 he was Chair of the Kentucky Republican Party. He then joined the Kentucky State Senate in 2005. He has served in that position since, representing the 21st district.
