Tom Buford (b. May 23, 1949) has been a Republican member of the Kentucky Senate since 1991. He represents the 22nd district.
Education
Buford earned his BS from the University of Kentucky in 1971.
Professional experience
Buford was President of Buford Property Management Company from 1971 to 2002. He was also Executive Vice President for Central Bank and Kentucky Bank from 1972 to 2002. He then worked as a Contractor/Builder for Buford Construction from 1976 to 2002. He currently works in Property Management.
Political experience
Buford was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives, Kentucky, District 6, in 2004. He joined the Kentucky State Senate in 1991 and has served in that position since. From 1991 to 1992 he was Senate Republican Whip. He represents the 22nd district.
