Tim Burchett is a Republican member of the Tennessee State Senate. Burchett has served in the Tennessee Senate since 1998. Burchett was re-elected in November of 2006 with his term expiring in 2010. Burchett has also served in the Tennessee House of Representatives from 1994 to 1998.

Burchett graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. In addition to being a Senator, Burchett is a small businessman.
