Texas Proposition 1 was on the August 10, 1991 statewide ballot in Texas as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.
Proposition 1 was described on the ballot as "The constitutional amendment to allow the voters of a county education district to adopt certain exemptions from the districts ad valorem taxation for residence homesteads and to provide for the taxation of certain tangible personal property."
Since it was approved, it amended Section 1(e), added §1-b-1, and amended §(e) and §(b) of Section 1(b) of Article 8 of the Texas Constitution.
