After a two year interval, he rejoined the West Springfield Town Meeting until 2000. In 1998, he joined the West Springfield School Committee and stayed for two years. At this time he became a representative of Massachusetts until 2004. A year later, he joined the Massachusetts Senate and currently holds this position.
