Spreckels Memorial District Measure S (June 2008)

The Spreckels Memorial District Measure S appeared on the June 3, 2008 ballot in Monterey County, California, where it passed. It was also known as the Special Parcel Tax" measure. To pass, it, like other parcel tax measures, needed to earn the approval of at least 2/3 of the voters.

The ballot question said, "Shall Resolution No. 08-2 providing for the imposition of a special tax of not more than $95 per parcel, per year, beginning fiscal year 2009/2010, for the purpose of maintaining, repairing and operating all of the District's property and facilities, including the Spreckels Memorial Park and Park Annex, be approved?"
