A San Francisco Modification of Budget Set-Asides may appear on a special June 2, 2009 election ballot in San Francisco.[1]

San Francisco County Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi sponsored putting the measure on the June ballot.

The measure if enacted would:

  • Modify voter-mandated spending levels for libraries, symphony, cops, and other budget set-asides.
  • Allow the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the Mayor of San Francisco to use set-aside dollars for other purposes in time of large deficits.
