San Francisco Bayview Jobs and Housing Measure G appeared on the June 3, 2008 ballot in San Francisco, California, where it passed by an almost 2/3 majority. Measure G allows the Lennar Corporation to develop an 800-acre parcel in Bay View-Hunter's Point with shops and high-rise office and residential space, and clean up toxins from the Naval Shipyards.

Supporters of G say that if it didn't pass, the 49ers would never have had another chance to build a stadium in San Francisco.

Measure G will also:

  • Allow 33% of the residences to go to affordable housing for families of differing income groups.
  • Include some accommodations for those in the lowest-income bracket.

Measure G was competing with Measure F, on the same ballot, which was defeated by a wide margin.
