Richard Miranda has been a Democratic member of the Arizona Senate since 2002. He was elected in 2002 and re-elected in 2004, 2006, and 2008. He represents the 13th district.
Education
Miranda received his diploma from North Phoenix High School in 1974.
Professional Experience
Richard Miranda has worked as a legal manager for the Miranda Law Firm as well as a consultant. He also worked as an assistant to the Mayor of Phoenix. He currently works as the Executive Director for the Centro Adelante Campesino as well as the Migrant Health Director for the Arizona Association of Community Health Centers.
Political Experience
Miranda served in the Arizona State House of Representatives from 1999-2002. In 2002 he was elected to the Arizona State Senate where he currently serves. He has been the Senate Minority Whip since 2005.
