The question on the ballot was, "Shall the voters be allowed to choose, without limitation, those persons whom the voters desire to serve on the City Council, by repealing Ordinance No. 1184 (Palmdale Municipal Code Chapter 4.16) which established term limits for the Mayor and City Councilmembers?"
