Oregon is taking many precautions to prevent voter fraud this election cycle. In Oregon, every voter card is sent to the county clerk's office, where it is reviewed.[1]

Built in safe-guards

There are many safeguards in the Oregon system. Every county in Oregon is connected to the same system, and the county clerks and the Oregon Secretary of State consistently check names, dates of birth, addresses, and driver's license numbers. They also frequently search for duplicates and names and ID numbers that do not match up. Merely checking driver's licenses cannot always ensure that the person is a legal citizen. In Oregon, if a voter card is found to be fraudulent, the citizen can be subjected to a $125,000 fine or 5 years in prison. [1]
