The Ohio Worker's Compensation Initiative, appearing on the ballot as Issue No. 1, was an initiated constitutional amendment that appeared on the 1981 ballot in Ohio to authorize the sale of workers compensation insurance coverage by private insurance companies. It was defeated.

If Issue 1 had passed, it would have amended Article II, Section 35 of the Ohio Constitution.
