Ohio Superintendent of Public Works Act (1974)

The Ohio Superintendent of Public Works Act appeared on the November 5, 1974 statewide general election ballot in Ohio as Ohio Issue 2. It proposed to repeal a section of the Ohio Constitution about the state's Superintendent of Public Works.
Issue 2 was referred to the ballot by the Ohio State Legislature. It passed, with 59.5% of voters in favor.
Text of the proposal
The ballot wording said, "To repeal a section of the Ohio Constitution which requires the governor to appoint a Superintendent of Public Works for a one-year term (Art. VII, Sec. 12)."
