Ohio Sales Tax Act (1975)

The Ohio Sales Tax Increase Act, also known as Ohio Issue No. 5, was on the November 1975 ballot in Ohio. It was a measure to authorize the issuance of bonds and notes in an amount not to exceed $2,750,000,000 with the principal and interest to be paid by an additional levy of a 7/10ths of 1% sales and use tax.
It failed with 18% votes in favor.
