Ohio Issue 1 (1971) was a measure requiring notice of proposed laws or amendments to the constitution. This ballot measure was referred to the ballot by the Ohio State Legislature. It passed, with 64.6% of voters in favor.

Text of the proposal

To require newspaper in lieu of mail notice of laws, proposed laws, or proposed amendments to the constitution (Art. II, Sec. 1g)[1]
