Oakland Measure J (June 2008)

Alameda County Measure J appeared on the June 3, 2008 ballot in Alameda County, California for City of Oakland voters, where it was approved. It is also known as the Telephone Utility User Tax Modernization.

Text of the ballot question:

Without raising current tax rates, shall Oakland's existing telephone utility user tax be modernized so that tax be modernized so that tax payers are treated equally regardless of technology used?
