Nebraska Amendment 2D, also known as a constitutional amendment to repeal and eliminate provisions dealing with township organization and towns, was on the November 7, 1998 election ballot in Nebraska. It was defeated, with 37.1% of voters in favor.
The measure was referred to the ballot by the Nebraska State Legislature.
Text of the proposal
The language that appeared on the ballot:
Amend the constitution to remove all references to townships or towns, and repeal outright a section which directs the Legislature by general law to provide for township organization.
