Nebraska Amendment 2A, also known as a constitutional amendment to change a restriction on allocation of proceeds from motor vehicle taxes, was on the November 7, 1998 election ballot in Nebraska. It passed, with 58.6% of voters in favor.
The measure was referred to the ballot by the Nebraska State Legislature.
Text of the proposal
The language that appeared on the ballot:
Amend the constitution to provide that the revenue from motor vehicles taxed in each county shall be allocated only to such county and the cities, villages and school districts therein.
