Nebraska Amendment 1, also known as a constitutional amendment to change the method of nominating and electing the Lieutenant Governor, was on the November 7, 2000 election ballot in Nebraska. It passed, with 52% of voters in favor.
The measure was a legislative referral voted onto the ballot by the Nebraska State Legislature.

Legislative Constitutional Amendment
Provides that the candidates for Governor of each party, as chosen at the primary elections, shall choose a person to be their running mate (candidates for Lieutenant Governor) on the general election ballot, and at the general election in November the voters shall cast one vote jointly for the two.
