Nebraska Amendment 1, also known as a constitutional amendment to provide that no person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws, was on the November 7, 1998 election ballot in Nebraska. It passed, with 72.6% of voters in favor.

The measure was referred to the ballot by the Nebraska State Legislature.

Text of the proposal

The language that appeared on the ballot:

Amend the constitution by adding the to due process of law clause an equal protection clause providing that no person shall be denied "the equal protection of the laws."
