From Ballotpedia
A Mountains Community Hospital parcel tax, Measure K ballot measure was on the May 19, 2009 ballot in San Bernardino County for voters in the Mountains Community Hospital District, where it was approved.
The board of the hospital is asking for an extension of the hospital district's existing parcel taxes, which are:
- $80 per home, regardless of valuation.
- $40 for a vacant lot.
- $200 for a business.
The parcel tax was first approved by voters in the hospital district in 1989. Every four years, a majority of voters must approve continuation of the tax.
The tax raises about two million dollars a year for the hospital.[1]
