Missouri Proposition C (1982)

Missouri Issue 1 was a 1 cent sales tax increase. It passed with 53.2% of voters in favor.

Text of the proposal

Supplements school and highway funds by additional one cent on dollar sales/use taxes. Reduces property taxes for schools by one half of the additional sales tax revenue received by schools. Amends school aid formula.^[1]
