Missouri Issue 2 (1980) was a measure about local government land use taxes. This measure referred to the ballot by the Missouri State Legislature. It passed with 65.6% of voters in favor.
Text of the proposal
Funds from the Conservation Commission's one-eight cent sales tax, as the Commission determines, shall be used for payments in lieu of taxes to local governments on Commission lands acquired after July 1, 1977 and forest cropland.[1]
