Missouri Initiative 2 (1984)

Missouri Initiative 2 was a measure establishing the Horse Racing Commission and regulating wagering. It passed.

Text of the proposal

Authorizes pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing; creates special fund allocated to Commission, certain educational programs, horse research, and prizes. Allows voters of each county to prohibit pari-mutuel wagering locally.^[1]
