Mississippi Flag Referendum (2001)

The Mississippi Flag Referendum, also known as the State Flag Election, was on the April 17, 2001 special election ballot in Mississippi.
Rather than a "yes"/"no" vote, the referendum asked voters to choose between Proposition A, the 1894 flag or Proposition B, a proposed new flag. The results were as follows:
