Michael McLachlan (b. May 18, 1958) is a Republican member of the Connecticut Senate, representing District 24.
Education
McLachlan attended Western Connecticut State College.
Professional experience
McLachlan has worked as Vice President for First Union National Bank. He also worked as Chief of Staff for Mayor Mark Boughton for the City of Danbury from 2001 to 2009.
Political experience
McLachlan is former Chair of the Danbury Republican Town Committee. He was a member of the Connecticut Republican State Central Committee from 2005 to 2009. He joined the Connecticut State Senate in 2008 and has served in that position since. He has also been Director of Economic Development for the City of Danbury since 2009. He is currently Senate Minority Whip, representing the 24th district.
