McPherson County Wheel Tax (2008)

The MePherson County Wheel Tax or McPherson County Ordinance 2008-1 was on the South Dakota June 4, 2008 ballot. The tax had already been approved by the county commission, but was put to a citizen's vote by a signature campaign, where it lost. The tax could have cost taxpayers up to $16 per vehicle had it been enacted.
Status
Failed, with 76.54% of the vote going to defeat the measure.
