Question A was on the November 7, 2006 election ballot in Queen Anne's County. It passed with 13,945 votes in favor.

The official ballot question was, "The members of the school board are currently appointed. The proposal would amend the Education Law Article to provide for an elected board of five voting nonpartisan members. Please indicate whether you prefer the current appointment method or the proposed election method.[1]
