Mark Amodei (b. June 12, 1958) is a Republican member of the Nevada Senate, representing the Capitol Region District.

Education

Amodei earned his BA from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1980. He went on to receive his JD from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1983.

Professional experience

Amodei was a Lawyer for the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps from 1983 to 1987. He has been a Lawyer for Allison, MacKenzie et al. since 1987.

Political experience

Amodei served in the Nevada State Assembly from 1997 to 1998. He then joined the Nevada State Senate in 1999 and has served in that position since. From 2003 to 2007, he was President pro Tempore. He represents the Capitol Region District.

Amodei and his wife, Michelle, have two children.
