Margaret Sullivan
From Ballotpedia
Margaret Sullivan, or Margie Sullivan, is a leading activist in the effort to prevent the Presidential Electoral Reform Act from qualifying for the June 2008 California ballot.
The San Francisco Chronicle quoted Sullivan extensively in a October 7, 2007 article on efforts to oppose PERA/CERI. Sullivan told Chronicle reporter Carla Marinucci that in the early weeks of coming together to defeat CERI:
"We ran it like a military operation. You had this SWAT team of talented, hyper-engaged people. ... It was: boom, boom, boom."
Sullivan also told the Chronicle that the goal of early opposition to CERI was to "strangle the baby in the cradle".[1]

Donations to Clinton campaign and FEC complaint
Sullivan is a donor to the Hillary Clinton for President committee. She has given the maximum legal donation to that campaign.[2]
Sullivan's comments to the San Francisco Chronicle are cited in an FEC complaint filed by Ray Haynes that argues that financial donations to Californians for Fair Election Reform made by Thomas Steyer, Norman Lear and others are actually donations to the Clinton campaign, and exceed allowable legal donation limits.[3]
Background and employment
Sullivan joined San Francisco-based Farallon Capital Management in 2001. On its website, Farallon says that it "manages equity capital for institutions and high net worth individuals." Farallon Capital was founded by Thomas Steyer, another activist in the campaign against the California Electoral Reform Initiative.
Prior to accepting employment at Farallon, Sullivan was a 13-year employee of the federal government, serving as chief of staff to three U.S. Cabinet secretaries under Democratic administrations.
