Mammoth Lakes Sales Tax Measure R (June 2008)

The Mammoth Lakes Sales Tax Measure R was passed by voters on the June 3, 2008 ballot in Mono County, California by 71.72%. It is a sales tax increase measure that will raise the city sales tax in the Town of Mammoth Lakes by 1/2 cent. A 2/3 vote was required for it to pass.
The money raised through the sales tax is for funding the development of trails, parks and other recreational opportunities in Mammoth Lakes.
The Town Council of the Town of Mammoth Lakes voted to place the measure on the ballot.
