An effort to recall Lisa Brown, a member of the Democratic Party, from her elected position representing District 39 in the Michigan House of Representatives was launched in September 2011.
On September 26, 2011, The Oakland County Election Commission approved recall language against Lisa Brown. In order for a recall election to be scheduled, organizers must collect valid signatures of 25 percent of the people who voted for governor in the district in the last election.[1]
The recall did not make it to the ballot.
