Lambda Legal

Lambda Legal is a national organization that is "committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work."[1]
Lambda Legal's request to join a federal lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of California Proposition 8 (2008) was denied by a federal judge in August 2009.[2] Lambda Legal was initially opposed to the strategy of filing a federal lawsuit against Prop 8.[3]
