Ken Winters (b. June 27, 1934) has been a Republican member of the Kentucky Senate since 2004. He represents the 1st district.
Education
Winters earned his BS from Murray State University. He went on to receive his MS from Indiana University. He then earned his PhD from the University of Northern Colorado.
Professional experience
Winters was formerly enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. He is a former solider in the U.S. Army. He is also former Dean of the College of Industry and Technology at Murray State University. He is retired President of Campbellsville University.
Political experience
Winters joined the Kentucky State Senate in 2005. He has served in that position since, representing the 1st district.
