Takai is Owner of Pacific First Health Solutions, and a First Lieutenant in the Hawaii Army National Guard. He has been a Public Health Educator with the Department of Health's Tobacco Prevention and Education Project, Publications Coordinator in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Hawaii, and a Hawaii Army National Guard Deputy State Surgeon.
He is National Chairman of the National Network of Legislators in the Military, State Coordinator of United States for Military Families, and Coordinator of the Hawaii Medal of Honor.[1]
