Joe McPherson (b. Eecember 18, 1950) is a Democratic member of the Louisiana Senate, representing District 29.

Education

McPherson attended Louisiana State University. He went on to earn his BA from Northwestern State University in 1974.

Professional experience

McPherson served in the United States Army Reserves from 1969 to 1975. He is currently a business owner of Retail-Healthcare-Commercial Property.

Political experience

McPherson served in the Louisiana State Senate from 1984 to 1996 and again from 2000 to the present. He represents the 29th district.
