Jenny Oropeza (b. 1957) is a Democratic member of the California State Senate. She represents California's 28th Senate District.
Oropeza was elected to the state senate in November 2006. Her current term expires in 2010.
Prior to joining the state senate, Oropeza served in the California State Assembly for six years, from 2000-2006. She was a member of the Long Beach City Council from 1994-2000 and a board member of the Long Beach Unified School District from 1988 to 1994.
Oropeza has a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University=Long Beach.
Oropeza is married to Tom Mullins.
