Jeffrey "Jeff" Denham (born July 29, 1967) is a Republican politician serving his second term in the California State Senate and a 2010 candidate for California Lieutenant Governor.

Denham represents the 12th District, which includes Madera, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Stanislaus counties. Denham is the second lowest paid State Senator because he has refused pay raises.

Denham's current four-year term ends in 2010. He has announced his candidacy for the Lieutenant Governor of California seat in the 2010 elections.[1]

Denham has a B.S. from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.

Senate District 12 includes all of Merced and San Benito counties and parts of Madera, Monterey, and Stanislaus counties.

The district includes the Madera County municipalities of Madera, Parksdale and Parkwood; the Monterey County municipalities of Gonzales, Greenfield, King City, Salinas, Soledad, Boronda, Castroville and Chualar; and the Stanislaus County municipalities of Ceres, most of Modesto, Newman, Patterson, Turlock, Bret Harte, most of Bystrom, Empire, Grayson, Keyes, Riverdale Park, Shackelford, Westley and West Modesto.[7]
