Iowa Amendment 2 (1999)

Iowa Amendment 2 appeared on the November 1999 statewide ballot in Iowa as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.

Had it passed, it would have required a 60% majority in the Iowa State Legislature to raise state income, sales or use taxes or to create a new tax.
